Good afternoon,
Thank you for subscribing to the communication list to receive updates on the 2024 Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP) for Okanogan County.
The CWPP draft is currently available for public comment! We are taking comments throughout the next two weeks from 9/16 - 9/30. Additionally, there will be a final public meeting on Wednesday, September 25th in the Okanogan PUD Auditorium at 6:45pm. CWPP partners and community members are invited to discuss the document, comments or questions, and next steps. Please note that this meeting is not a formal public hearing.
To access and review the CWPP draft and/or leave a comment: Visit the Okanogan CD website at www.okanogancd.org/cwpp and view and download a pdf of the draft. You can also visit us in-person at our office at 1251 2nd Ave S, Room 102, Okanogan, WA. Please make an appointment with Eli Loftis (contact information below) if you wish to make in-person comments.
Comments should be sent to Eli Loftis at eli@okanogancd.org no later than September 30th, 2024. When submitting a comment, please reference specific sections, sub-sections, and/or page numbers so we can accurately capture your response.
To catch up on the CWPP process and for additional resources, please visit the Okanogan CD website at www.okanogancd.org/cwpp. For questions or further comments regarding the CWPP, please contact Eli Loftis -eli@okanogancd.org or 509-429-3453.
