Flower Thief

Post by Chogirl97 » Tue Jun 11, 2024 8:46 pm

This is a long shot and more of a rant type post. If you are staying somewhere don't go into the year round tenant's yards and especially don't go in their yards and cut up their flowers. I had someone come into my yard and cut up my beautiful 3 year old(longest I've ever kept a plant alive) and just brutalize her. They cut out stalks from the middle and ripped leaves off the bottom of all my stalks. Also cut new growth stalks where she was spreading out to. I never thought I'd be this emotional over a plant but she was flourishing and I was able to do that for her. Now she's hurt and it's all because someone decided they had the right to come into my yard and take something of mine. Like who does that? I know others on here are plant lovers and will feel my pain.

I am so sorry. It really hurts when you put all your heart into growing something and that happens. What kind of plant was it?

That sounds like a deer or an animal.

Sounds exactly like what my planters looked like after our local doe found them.

Now that I'm not as emotional it makes sense that it was an animal. They just never got to it before so it didn't even cross my mind that it was a deer or another animal. Going to put stuff up to protect her better. And to answer you Judy it's a Tiger Lilly

I had some stunning lilies in my gardens. They are fun.

I'm sorry, that is very frustrating. I've had deer come in at the last minute and just eat all the buds days before they bloom, or other atrocities. Slowly working on fencing all that I don't want eaten.

Hopefully your lily grows back stronger.
