What happened to our local chimney sweep?

Post by mikeparks » Tue Jun 04, 2024 6:04 am

I have been trying to contact Terry at Ivan's Chimney Sweep and have had no response.

I have emailed and called several times and have not received a reply. Does anyone know what happened to Terry or if he is still in business? I have been using Ivan Chimney Sweep services for years and know of no one else around here who does this.

I had the same problem, Terry had me on the schedule and then poof nothing, I hope he's ok. I live in Methow and ended up using Alju Stove and Chimney and was equally satisfied with their work, I recommend them.

I ended up using James Knowlton from Master Sweep. Did a great job, reasonably priced and very professional.

I completely recommend his services. He can be reached at 509 322-0854.

~~ swept it myself (did a great job) with a "Tornado" chimney sweep. Sweeps from bottom - up, spiraling mono-fillment on 4' sections powered by drill motor !!

Just called Alju for an appointment in the next few weeks. They like to bundle visits to the valley so if you were waiting for a reminder/sign from the universe that it’s a good time to get your chimney swept…this is it :)

Terry came to our house in mid-October, on his usual schedule.

Century Link has acknowledged an issue when calling a local landline from a cell phone, the call will sometimes go to an unattended voicemail not associated with the landline. If you are failing to make contact with a person or business on a landline from your cell, you might try the same number from a landline.

What?! Well if Terry is out there tell him I suggest suing the pants off of Century Link for loss of business income because I know I'm not the only one out there that appreciated his work but moved on.

I second the Master Sweep recommendation. They cleaned & inspected, recommended corrections to our setup last winter.
