This year the Democratic caucuses will be held virtually on Saturday, April 6th starting at 9:30 AM. The purpose of these caucuses is to elect delegates to the State Convention, which will be held at the Meydenbauer Center in Bellevue, WA on June 22nd. (There will also be an option to attend the convention virtually.)
Anyone who lives in the 7th LD (which now includes ALL of Okanogan County) and states that they are a Democrat can run for delegate. Candidates for delegate must submit their names by March 31st. For more info contact the Okanogan County Democrats at info@okanogandemocrats.org, or at 509-449-6898.
All voting members of the 7th LD Democrats will have ballots emailed to them and will be able to vote during the open voting period on April 6th. To become a voting member use the contact info above. You can also apply for membership on our website at www.okanogandemocrats.org.
Delegates will be voting on the party platform, deciding which State candidates to endorse, and electing delegates to the national convention. This is a great opportunity to find out how grass roots democracy works, and to have your voice heard!
