very smoky here just below where Poorman Creek Road meets Twisp River Road. VERY smoky. Don't know if it's coming from Poorman or from Chelan?

The northwest part of the Pioneer fire at Lake Chelan is active right now and wind is driving the smoke into Winthrop and Twisp River currently (I use CalTopo map to see both wind and fire activity). The Poorman/Lookout fire is listed as controlled on WildCad/WildWeb.

Drewsky is correct. It's on the other side of the ridge but if it were to come over, War Cr. is in the path. I believe the copter is going up that way to drop on the edge of the Chelan side of the fire. They've been passing overhead for days, but this time further north.
Caltopo shows where the fire is. A great site plus it can show wind speed and direction. Also, overlays of previous burns.
Steheiken is now Level 2.
When coming home around 3:00 today I could have sworn something was burning up Frost Rd. It looked dark, but I realized it was the smoke.
We have ashfall here at 6 miles up.
