There isn't another authorized service business in the valley. I didn't know that there was anything left of Sears, but I do see that they have an appliance repair service still listed in Omak. Also Websters in Brewster appears to do service.

What does seem to be different this year is the lack of huge piles of snow against the house, which provide extra insulation. Lacking that, some might experience outside wall pipe freezing where they didn't in the past.
