Good morning everyone,

Several months ago, I created the Washington Roadkill Recovery Facebook group, as there was no actively managed group for our state.

(Link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/992993108468439/?ref=share&mibextid=NSMWBT)

Since moving over to Twisp from the West side, I've noticed an extremely high abundance of roadkill. I also have co-workers who have informed me that people are pretty good about picking them up and salvaging them here. I'd like to invite you all to join, even if you don't have intention on salvaging an animal

It is legal to harvest roadkill in Washington, provided an extremely brief questionnaire be filled out prior to doing so (the link to this document is on the group).

I believe that life is precious, and wasting it should be avoided at all costs.

If you hit an animal or see something fresh, your posting to the group can provide others with an opportunity to ethically source pounds of meat and make use of a life.

Thanks for your consideration and for keeping an open mind,

-Kaleb
