Anyone have current information on the fire burning just south of Carlton this evening?

Okanogan County Fire Information group on Facebook is pretty constant with updates both official and unofficial. Don't think I can post links but it will pop up if you google it.

Nothing on there yet this evening.

The Watch Duty Wildfire App is providing regular updates on this (and other) fires. I often get notification updates from Watch Duty well before I see them elsewhere. It is a service run by a non-profit, and is staffed by firefighters and responders who volunteer their time. I highly recommend it as a wildfire resource.

‘Watch Duty’ used to be a pretty good source of information.

But….it appears it’s become just more and more like facebook…anyone can climb on and post whatever they want…

Take it with a BIG grain of salt.

Facebook Okanogan Methow Valley Topics of interest has pictures posted but not much more info. Level one evac. and they say it is on the north end of the Gold Cr. loup. Water drops.

The Okanogan County Fire Information group on Facebook is very informative. Lots of people who can unfortunately see the fire are providing frequent pictures. Admin have been providing good updates.
Crews worked all night. There are smoldering areas and some flames. There's hope of getting the fire a bit more under control before expected increased winds today.
