Walking along the interpretive trail along the Chewuch River from downtown Winthrop, I found an older male yellow lab with a black/grey harness on. He did not have any ID on him and he followed my dog and me. Sweet dog, pretty old. I walked him around the North Village ‘hood and unfortunately nobody knew him.
He’s thirsty, tired, and quite wet— possibly crossed the shallower part of the Chewuch to the trail. Some nice folks helped take him to the local vet/groomer in Winthrop. I have a picture for identification—please spread the word!

Update: “Buddy” is home!! Thanks to the community effort! He’s a local dog sometimes known for swimming across the Chewuch river.
