ISO info on how to contact our local "SHIBA" volunteers (state health insurance benefit advisors) as I try to help my parents navigate the Medicare enrollment process. The MV News featured an article about them in October, which provided a 1-888 number that I will try calling tomorrow, but I thought someone might know of a more direct way to contact them? Or maybe you are one of them reading this and want to contact me at 971-717-1334? I greatly appreciate that this service is offered by some noble volunteers and hope to connect with one soon. Thanks!

Re: ISO Medicare Advisor Contact Info
Dick Anderson, Certified SHIBA counselor, 509-884-1036, dickanderson@earthlink.com
I called the SHIBA number in Olympia last February as I was totally second guessing my choices (when it was far past any deadlines to do anything), and they referred my call to Dick. He returned my call from his vacation!
I cannot recommend him more highly. He is absolutely fantastic. Super knowledgeable (I think he did something along these lines professionally in Wenatchee for years but is retired now) and just incredibly helpful, unbiased, and encouraging. He restores your faith in humanity, I swear. I had to get some more information from him recently during our open enrollment and I was completely satisfied. He doesn't tell you what to do; he gives you great information so you can decide what to do (which is his responsibility as a SHIBA volunteer).
Dick is truly the best person I can imagine talking to and he encouraged me back in February to have my friends and others call him. Please do. He's just so great.
