Luthier in the valley

Post by valk96 » Mon Nov 20, 2023 9:45 am

I know this has been on the board in the past. I am looking for a local luthier that can do a fret replacement on a fairly high end guitar. Please text 206-724-6553 or post any suggestions. Thanks

This may not help but I have all my high end work done at Dusty Strings in Fremont. Recently they rebuilt the cone assembly on my all steel Dobro for about 400 dollars. I did not trust anyone local to work on it. You may want to consider that because a bad fret job could ruin the instrument. Bruce Herron Wolf Creek

My 1971 Guild is at Mont Holbrook's guitar shop here in Winthrop area. He is the best and always good communication. 509-449-1221 is Mont Holbrook's number. You will be amazed!

PS I would like to add that I too, have had work done at Dusty Strings. I have also discovered work they did was not good. I had to have it redone by Mont. I never will go back to Dusty Strings for a repair tho' they have some great guitars for sale!

Hi all, my name is Randy Rooker, and am fairly new to the Valley. I am offering most Luthier services, set-ups, maintenance and repair for guitars, basses and drums ( including new bearing edges and reskinning djembes)
I can replace frets, although I am not yet set up proper to do a full fret job...I will make a neck tensioning jig in the near future to offer that.
I also stock an assortment of strings and drum heads.
Give a call in the future to see if I can help you out.
Randy @ 541-410-5500
Happy Holidays!
