Looking to change cellphone providers

Hello valley,

I’d like to switch cell phone providers. Currently working with Verizon but wondering if there are more affordable providers who provide the same or better service and reception. I would appreciate any intel!

We dumped Verizon at the start of the year after two extensive outages that they wouldn't even admit were happening. Went to T-Mobile for half the cost, better connection in Twisp, and 5G with unlimited data. They also paid off the one phone that still had a balance owing.

We switched from Verizon to Consumer Cellular around 18 months ago. I believe they are using the T-Mobile network currently as their primary network. We are experiencing better coverage and signal strength compared to Verizon, at least compared to how Verizon was at the time of our switch 18 months ago. We live a few miles up Twisp River, have good service around our house and through most of the valley, except for some areas in the lower valley between Carlton and Paterous where we also had poor signal with Verizon. Consumer Cellular has an affordable (in my opinion) unlimited internet plan but also has a convenient pay-as-you-go option where you can choose a lower cost, limited plan and then you are upgraded to the next level plan if you go over your limit, then downgraded again next month if your usage decreases.

Has anyone tried VISIBLE? Verizon network but lower cost, mentioned in this Seattle Times article:

My husband and I use Mint who use T-Mobile towers. I have 5G in the valley and better coverage than I've had with verizon or att. They have a special right now where if you buy 3 months of service you get 3 months free. There's also referral codes where the person who refers you gets a bonus as well as the person joining.

T-mobile has a month to month (no contract) for $25. I’ve never exceeded its limits in calls/texts/web in 3+ years.
I think they even have a $15/mo version?

Very good customer service, both online and in person on the phone. No complaints from me, other than it doesn’t seem to work above Weeman bridge.

I switched to visible in march. I have been very happy with it last bing between Winthrop and Twisp. Service seems to be exactly the same as verizon, but with a much cheaper bill
Customer service is all on line so it takes a bit longer but rarely have to contact them

Has anyone tried Google Fi? With taxes and fees that’s around $25/mo unlimited, using T Mobile.
