We are offering a fully renovated small rental house on our farm. Rent is $900/month, and includes electricity, water and snow plowing. The space is separate from the main house, is approximately 400 square feet and includes a full kitchen, wood and electric heat, a small bedroom and a bathroom. Pets and even larger animals could be an option if they get along with ours, and there is ample shared garden space.
We will prioritize renting to an individual, couple or small family who want to commit to being involved on the farm. A person who is working on the farm will not be asked to pay rent in June or July, when we would ask for daily ($20/hr) part-time engagement. Rent would be waived in August as well for someone who is able to continue working regularly. We will also prioritize having a good match of personalities and lifestyles, regardless of availability to work on the farm.
We are a three generation household, and value excellent forward communication and maintaining a warm home environment. We work here full time, and are also land partners to the outdoor pre-school RootEd (starting in the spring.) We are looking for land mates who are comfortable being in the vibrant and sometimes chaotic environment of a working farm.
Please reach out with any questions!
Thanks,
Anna

1 bedroom rental available to farmer etc.
Re: 1 bedroom rental available to farmer etc.
To clarify about rent- for a person who is engaged and available to work on the farm an average of 2 hours/day, 7 days a week from June 15th to Aug 1, and with flexible hours in August, rent (and utility costs) would be waived for June, July and August.
That means if a person who will be involved on the farm moves in December 1, the average rent including utilities from now through September would come out to $600/mo.

Re: 1 bedroom rental available to farmer etc.
We are still meeting with people who are interested in this opportunity, so it's not too late to respond.
We are meeting first with people who want to work on the farm, but please don't hesitate to reach out because you aren't available to work here. Finding a good fit in a land mate is important to us.
Feel free to give me a call with questions!
