Rhode Island Reds and Black Australorps (Both excellent layers and multi-purpose breeds)

They've been raised on a combination of certified organic and non-gmo feed (always corn- and soy-free), as well as pasture we planted specifically for them.

They were born in early October 2021 and started laying last March; they've gone through one molt, are entering their second year of laying, and have a lot of laying ahead of them (average 70-80% in their second year. With 10 hens you can expect to get up to 8 eggs per day in the peak months).

We ask that you take a minimum of three hens to allow them to continue to have the safety and security of a flock.

Pickup in the evening please, anytime after dusk, when the hens go inside to roost.

We still have laying hens left! We've re-homed a bunch this week but still have plenty left. Both breeds. They'll make a great start to your spring!
