Re: Nordic skiing at the Loup

Right about the Parks and Recreation posting on their website regarding the Sno-Park passes, etc. But it is lacking in any grooming updates, I have found. I have found that on the Loup's website, Ski the Loup, that they do post the grooming report for the South Summit but it has been lagged behind i...

Re: Nordic skiing at the Loup

Not enough snow yet. Might have done some packing. Good news is that there is a new grooming machine and grooming will take place more often. 2-3 days per week.
Some of the logging roads are skiable on the north summit.

Re: Wash. state hydrogen project

Hydrogen is not the answer. It takes a massive amount of energy to produce it. I have some links. BB doesn't want links, but will try to post info.
There are people that know alot about this and perhaps they have the answers to hydrogen production.

Re: Helicopter Hovering Over Gunn Ranch / Rizer?

I do agree they have lost alot of the natural preditors. I know how they can denude the landscape. So hunters must know which deer to cull? I am assuming hunters can tell a healthy looking deer from one that is not doing so well. Which deer to take? To me, you would take the less healthy deer. Deer ...

Re: Helicopter Hovering Over Gunn Ranch / Rizer?

Hmm, is that an oxymoron, hunting versus conservation of deer? I bet I catch some heat for that. Those wandering in towns don't seem to be afraid of people. Why is that? Are they used to people? I'm assuming they have become habituated to people and some of the non native plants. One deer killed is ...

Yeehaw! But as Jim says stay safe. Burn scars can make for excitement, so stay away if there is that much rain falling.
Snow, oh yes!

Great idea about the liner socks. I have a bunch.
Gee, I wonder if there will be a run on battery socks, now?
Thanks all.

Battery Socks

Has anyone had any experience with battery or "electric" socks? Brands, cost?
I'm thinking of switching to those instead of the toe warmers that need oxygen to keep going and after being in a boot for so long they give out.
Appreciate any thoughts pertaining to this.
Thanks.

Re: ISO SNS classic bindings

I don't have them but was in a the predicament you are in. My husband and I looked on eBay, so you might try them. In our case he was looking for the boots that go with the SNS. I only have 4 prs of skis I now have to change bindings on thanks to the industry not making the bindings. I even wrote to...
